Position Overview:
The Safety Manager will train, develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations throughout the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
Provide training to employees on safety best practices, forklift operations, and CDL safety guidelines.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules including and not limited to OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, etc.
Ensure completion of required recordkeeping and reporting.
Responsible for the Company’s compliance with FMSCA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Virginia Department of Transportation) requirements including maintaining documentation to support compliance to include Drug Testing, Driver Records, medical cards, etc.
