The primary responsibility is to assemble, test, and troubleshoot opto-electronic instruments that contain precision optical, mechanical, and electronic components. This position is also responsible for initial technical support for the assembly staff, and review of assembly and test procedures, as well as ensuring proper operation of test equipment.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assembly and testing of precision optical, electrical, and mechanical components including micro-assembly and wirebonding techniques.
Understand written work instructions, mechanical drawings, and schematics for a wide range of products as they apply to ensure correct assembly.
Work with various types of optical and electronic test equipment for troubleshooting opto-electronic components and finished goods
Load and debug basic production-level firmware programs
