Truck Driver Class A CDL
We are looking for skilled Class A CDL Driver that has the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills. The primary responsibility of the Driver is to help meet the needs of customers by delivering material in a timely, safe and courteous manner. We seek highly motivated and experienced Drivers with a background in the delivery of building materials.
Warehouse duties include, but not limited to the following:
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Complete daily logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Must hold a valid Commercial Class-A Driver’s License and Medical Card
- Must have a driving record in Good Standing. To be in Good Standing Driver must present a current DMV printout report with none of the violations below:
- Any major violations (DWI, homicide, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene) within the last three years.
- Two or more other moving violations and one at fault accident in the last three years.
- Three or more other moving violations in the last three years.
- Two or more at fault accidents in the last three years with no moving violations.
- Previous CDL Driving experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport equipment to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
- Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
- Follow all Atlantic Plywood Operational Procedures and QC Standards
- Adhere to all Atlantic Plywood safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Maintain Truck Equipment/Inventory
- Maintain the service and appearance of truck
- Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Warehouse Manager and/or Sales Manager
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or Sales Manager
Education, Experience and Required Skills, Including Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class A CDL Driver's license
- Current Medical Card
- 1 year of experience
Regulatory Compliance
- Knowledge of GVWs, state regulations regarding height and weight maximums
- OSHA & DOT familiarity/training
- Drivers will be subject to DOT regulated random drug and alcohol testing
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading material
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
