Richmond Friends School/School Coordinator

Richmond Friends School seeks a dynamic, innovative educator to lead the 7th- 8th grade classroom beginning in the 2019-2020 academic year. The ideal applicant will embrace the opportunity to devise and implement curriculum in both English and Social Studies that meets and/or exceeds Indiana standards.  This position is an opportunity to engage with a small group of eager learners utilizing project-based learning and integrating material across subject areas in a school that values the individual gifts of its students.

Administrative duties include (but are not limited to): 

• Work collaboratively with the Math/Science Middle School Teacher to deliver effective and when possible, integrated curriculum.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to plan and coordinate field trips and enrichment activities.
• Provide assessment of student work, and communicate progress with parents/guardians through meetings and written reports.
• Supervise individual student research projects.
• In collaboration with Math/Science Middle School Teacher, lead High School transition team to help 8th graders prepare for High School.
• Provide assessment of overall curriculum on a yearly basis.
