Position: Service Technician – Lincoln Military Housing

Hourly Rate: Open

Location: Ft. Sam Houston

 

We are looking for people with energy and enthusiasm to join our team!!!

 

Job Functions:

 

  • Schedule and follow up on vendor work
  • Complete resident requested service orders within 24 hours
  • Communicate with residents, and make follow up calls for quality assurance
  • Complete all assigned maintenance work on vacant and occupied homes per LMH guidelines
  • Must be available to assist in after-hours emergency situations and work order completion
  • Must be available for night/weekend call duty
  • Must have an outgoing, service oriented personality
  • Must have computer experience - Yardi preferred but not required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Have the ability to work in a fast – paced environment with a positive attitude
  • Attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to follow jobs through to completion.

 

General Requirements:

 Must have the knowledge and ability to perform the following duties:

   

  • Plumbing repairs
  • Repair/replace locks, smoke alarms
  • Replace screens
  • Appliance repairs- Garbage disposal, refrigerator, stove (gas and electric) and dishwashers
  • Electrical repairs
  • Change AC filters
  • HVAC repairs (must have HVAC Type II or Universal license)
  • Complete all assigned maintenance work on vacant or occupied homes per LMH guidelines
  • Order maintenance supplies as needed
  • Perform other duties as necessary and as requested 

Physical Requirements:    

        

  • Must be able to lift /carry 80-100 lbs on a regular basis
  • Have ability to push/pull 50 – 100 lbs

 

  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs, stand, kneel, and use ladders,       on a regular basis

 

  • Aware that work may be performed in any and all weather conditions

 

Education:

 

  • Must have at least a high school diploma (college hours preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year maintenance experience
  • Must have Universal or Type II HVAC certification
