Part Time position

Summary

The Facilities Coordinator performs a variety of maintenance duties for the building.

Essential Functions

  • Maintenance of building and handle basic repairs that require basic skills as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, painting, and HVAC.
  • Inform QHSE Director for the need for licensed professionals when work is outside scope of expertise (electrician, plumber, heating & air technician, etc.) 
  • Maintain all facilities’ upkeep to look their best, maintain a safe environment and serve their intended functions.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to determine areas that need attention and then promptly perform the tasks. Document these inspections and keep a log for reference. These inspections & documentation will include assessment of interior and exterior of the buildings identified.
  • Conduct monthly, quarter, annual inspections in accordance to Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan. Document inspections and promptly remediate any findings.
  • Schedule routine maintenance procedures to perform on machinery and equipment, such as fire safety inspections, building inspections, etc.
  • General housekeeping tasks when performing general maintenance which includes cleaning work area before and after repairs are completed.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required in the facility (hang new art work or office equipment and order supplies/parts to complete the task. This may also include exterior maintenance items such as gates, parking lots, decks, driveways, and fences).

·         Monitor and/or assist with completion of facility improvement action items generated by the Safety Committee.

·         Perform meter readings for water, electrical and fuel and record usage for reporting purposes.

Job Specifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team-based environment
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn other company software systems QT9

·         Ability to read and understand written operating instructions and work order requirements.

·         Ability to operate all equipment safely.

·         Excellent project management and time management skills

·         Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load

·         Problem solving and trouble shooting skills

·         Ability to follow corporate standards and procedures 

 

Experience and Education Requirements

·         High School or Equivalent

·         Certificate from college or technical school highly desirable

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience in a facilities role or an equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Must own basic hand tools

  • Familiarity with Fire safety equipment, Heating and air conditioning systems, Electrical cleaning equipment
  • Familiar with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations
  • Familiar with ISO/API/TCEQ and other industry recommended practices, policies and procedures

·         Experience with progressive EHS cultures and safety leadership

·         May be required to work in confined space for short periods of time.

·         This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.

·         Ability and willingness to wear uniforms, protective clothing and safety shoes.
