Job Description


The Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for local site issues including but not limited to: desktop support and production support. In addition to servicing the local office, the Desktop Support Analyst will be part of an integrated team supporting users across the enterprise for all IT service needs. Programing, maintains, troubleshoot, and install various PLC in the company

PRINCIPLE ROLES/ACCOUNTABILITIES Create images for workstations

Image, configure, and deploy workstations

Install software necessary to user roles and system policy

Perform desktop support (hardware, application and network)

Assist the infrastructure team

Troubleshoot Microsoft Office, Adobe, Proprietary software, printers, scanners, etc.

Troubleshoot email and internet connectivity issues

Provide Microsoft Exchange Support

Ensure operating system and application patches are applied per specified schedules

Ensure Antivirus definitions are updated regularly

Enforce company security procedures and policies by ensuring all workstations and laptops meet security guidelines

Provide feedback and ideas

Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.


Excellent customer service skills

Strong organizational/analytical skills and an attention to detail

Excellent hardware skills with an understanding of PLCs, PCs, servers, routers and competent to resolve issues in a timely manner

Excellent verbal and written skills, the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Advanced knowledge of Windows XP-Windows 8, and PC/Server/Switching hardware

Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and printers

Must be able to program and trouble shoot all PLCs Allen-Bradly, Siemens, BNR, Associates degree in computer science or equivalent experience preferred

MCSA, A+, Net+ certifications preferred

2+ yrs. experience desktop support
